DESIGN & PRODUCTION NOTES /

These shorts have been cut on the bias from creamy crêpe -backed silk satin and have been lined with a light weight silk habotai. The elasticated waist makes for comfortable wearing. We suggest styling with our oversized white cotton shirt or our wool and silk knot collar shirt.

If cleaning at home, silk is best washed by hand with a mild detergent in lukewarm water. Rinse the shorts well, squeeze out excess moisture by rolling in a towel, and then hang to dry away from direct heat. Never soak, boil, bleach, or wring silk as this may damage the fibres.

To iron the trousers, turn the shorts inside out and iron the matte side of the fabric. Ensure the iron is not too hot, and do not use it with steam as water staining may occur. If the silk water stains, dip the garment in warm water for 2-3 minutes, dry and re-iron.

We advise you not to let the shorts become too dirty before washing, as hard rubbing damages the fibres. Badly stained garments should be dry-cleaned. It is advisable to tell the dry cleaner what caused the stains as they will be better able to remove them.
